EURAMED General Assembly elects a new Executive Board

At the annual EURAMED General Assembly on 9 October, the body of members were informed of the past year’s important activities and took a number of votes to plan for the next term. Held online, the assembly saw the election of:
 
François Paris (National Institute of Health and Medical Research, FR) – President
Graciano Paulo (Coimbra Health School, PT) – President-Elect
Boris Brkljačić (University of Zagreb School of Medicine, HR) – Past-President
Paddy Gilligan (Mater Dei Hospital, IE) – Secretary
Caroline Stokke (Oslo University Hospital, NO) – Treasurer
Guy Frija (ret., University of Paris, FR) – Member-at-Large
Ursula Nestle (Kliniken Maria Hilf GmbH, DE) – Member-at-Large

Katrine Riklund (Umeå University, SE) became chair of the Scientific Committee, and a new committee for International Affairs and Implementing Clinically Relevant Research was created under the chairmanship of Christoph Hoeschen (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, DE).

As the departing past-president and member-at-large, respectively, Klaus Bacher (Ghent University, BE) and Marc Benderitter (Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety, FR) were thanked for their service in advancing the mission and activities of EURAMED.

The membership also approved the 2022 financial report, the 2024 membership fees, and EURAMED’s two financial controllers. We look forward to 2024 with many more activities in medical radiation protection research!
