From September 29 to October 3, the UK Health Security Agency welcomes all radiation protection professionals to London to attend the 9th European Radiation Protection Week. The conference will take place at the centrally located Cumberland Hotel on Hyde Park next to the Marble Arch underground station. The hotel also provides rooms for your stay.
The final conference programme is now online. As in years past, EURAMED will collaborate in three sessions focusing on important issues in medical radiation protection: a PrISMA roundtable on quality & safety of medical applications on Tuesday, Sept. 30; risks and patient protection in medical applications on Wednesday; and radiation protection for novel molecular imaging and therapies on Thursday. A news post will include the important details when the lineup of speakers is released.
Registration runs until August 31!
For all relevant details on the contact address, local attractions, sponsors, etc., view the conference homepage.
EURAMED awardThe European Alliance for Medical Radiation Protection would like to once again recognise relevant research in medical radiation protection or the use of ionising radiation. EURAMED invites you to apply for the EURAMED award by submitting an extended abstract for consideration by the EURAMED Scientific Committee, with EURAMED’s Executive Board awarding the top application.
The applicant shall not be a current member of the EURAMED Scientific Committee.
The award is intended for students and early-career researchers (up to 6 years after attaining your highest degree). You may choose to submit an application under one of the following ERPW topics.
- Risks and patient protection in medical applications
- Non-cancer diseases: Risks and mechanisms at low doses/dose-rates
- Radiation protection for novel molecular imaging and therapies
The award is designed to support the continued interaction of the winner with the European radiation protection community. Thus, EURAMED will grant one award, consisting of a certificate, free registration to ERPW 2026, and corresponding travel costs up to a maximum of €500. The award winner will be chosen from those authors who submit an informal application consisting of a 2–3 page extended abstract, featuring more content than the abstract submitted to ERPW2025, and a 1-page CV of the lead author.
Two runners-up will also be recognised and granted a certificate of achievement during the conference awards session on Wednesday, October 1.
We have extended the submission deadline! Please send extended abstracts and CVs to Nathan Peld of the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research, the administrator of EURAMED, by the new deadline of 23:59 on Monday, July 21.
The winner and runners-up will be notified by the end of August.
