ERPW: Apply for the EURAMED award 2026!

The European Alliance for Medical Radiation Protection (EURAMED) would like to once again recognise outstanding research in medical radiation protection or medical uses of ionising radiation. If you have or are submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation at ERPW 2026, EURAMED invites you to apply for the EURAMED award by submitting an extended abstract for evaluation by the EURAMED Scientific Committee, with EURAMED’s Executive Board awarding the top application.

The applicant shall not be a current member of the EURAMED Scientific Committee.

The award is intended for students and early-career researchers (up to 6 years after attaining your highest degree). You may choose to submit an application if your abtract was submitted under one of the following ERPW topics.

  • AI in medical radiation protection
  • AI for monitoring & dose management
  • Innovation in therapy & imaging
  • Patient-centred radiation protection
  • Nuclear medicine & theranostics

EURAMED will grant one award, consisting of a token, free registration to ERPW 2026, and corresponding travel costs up to a maximum of €500. The award winner will be chosen from those authors who submit an informal application consisting of a 2–3 page extended abstract, featuring more content than the abstract submitted to ERPW 2026, and a 1-page CV of the lead author.

Two runners-up will also be recognised and granted a certificate of achievement during the conference awards session on Wednesday, October 7.

As the conference abstract submission deadline is June 30, applications must be submitted by the deadline of 23:59 on Tuesday, July 21. Please send extended abstracts and CVs to Nathan Peld of the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research, the administrator of EURAMED.

The winner and runners-up will be notified by mid-August.
