The ERPW Scientific Committee is grateful for the submission of many excellent abstracts in the field of medical radiation protection to this year’s 5th European Radiation Protection Week (ERPW).
After careful consideration, the research of Dr. Uta Eberlein, University Clinic Würzburg, on “Differences of Ex Vivo and In Vivo DSB Repair Capacity in PBMCs of Patients before and during Radioiodine Therapy” was selected for honors, including an award to support attendance at a conference in 2022 and continue presenting exemplary research. The award was presented at the ERPW award ceremony on 24 November, along with two awardees selected by our member platform, the Multidisciplinary European Low-Dose Initiative (MELODI).
